A Meditation

We can never fully describe who God is. He is the Great I AM whose very nature and being are described by who He is. From beginning to end we witness the faithfulness of our God. His faithfulness is our comfort; He is our peace.

Don’t you marvel at His glory? I do. And everytime I remember how He moves and works in my life, I pause in awe and thanksgiving for my God is the Loving God who actively works to use me for His glory.

And when I consider His holiness and goodness, like Isaiah, I recognize my wretchedness and nothingness. I prostrate myself before God and cry out, “Woe to me! I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips…” Why don’t we take this time today to ask for forgiveness for our sins? Let us pray for healing and reconciliation to God.

In our unworthiness, God’s glory is magnified for out of grace He gave us life; by His blood we were saved. Why us? I do not have the answer. But from my lips come thanksgiving for our salvation. Thank you Lord for you chose us to be yours.
