About Kuya Pau

I'm and I am a Bible-believing Christian.

I also work as a full-time campus missionary. Most people in my circle of friends will understand what I mean by this. But several others may give me the blank stare.

What do I do basically? I work with the youth-- mostly students in UP and Pisay Diliman. I serve as a mentor, a "kuya," a life coach, a teacher and a friend.

I am, however, God's instrument and servant, above all. I do what I do for His glory and renown. I do not boast about any of my accomplishments for they come to pass only by God's grace and mercy. As John the Baptist emphasized, "He must become greater; I must become less."

To God be all honor, glory and praise!

I have drafted my personal V-M-O and Values as a Christian Youth Worker and I'm sharing them with you here. May you labor with me in prayer. Thank you!

Vision:
Generations of Bible-believing and Bible-living student disciples ushering
their schools under Christ’s Lordship and Salvation
Mission:
To raise up generations of student disciples who faithfully live out
the Greatest Commandment and the Great Commission

Objectives:

1. (Discipleship) To sharpen iron with iron (Proverbs 27:17) in Bible knowledge,
ministry skills and character for Christ’s renown
2. (Leadership and Empowerment) To empower students to share Jesus and
start Bible Studies in their spheres of influence (colleges, schools, dorms etc.)
3. (Evangelism) To faithfully journey with students towards a full understanding of the Gospel

Values

Scripture-grounded (2 Timothy 3:16)
Everything I do will be guided by God’s Word which is the
final and supreme authority in all matters of faith and life.

Self-Sacrificial (Philippians 2:3-4)
With love and patience, I will serve the people entrusted
to me not to my benefit but for God’s glory.

Glocal: Global and Local (Revelation 7:9-10)
Though I work with specific ministries, my service will be ultimately
geared towards building up Christ’s Universal Church.

Growth-oriented (Colossians 1:28)
I will work in the power of the Holy Spirit to ensure the spiritual maturity
of everyone God adds to His ministry, and also challenge them to multiply by His grace.

Christ-centered; Christ-dependent
(Hebrews 12:2; Proverbs 3:5-6)
Jesus will be the life-blood of my service to students. I look to Him alone
for strength, and I toil only for His glory and renown.

Prayerful
(Philippians 4:6-7)
I will seek to commune with my Lord daily, drawing strength from Him
in prayerful meditation, offering all my worries and finding peace at the foot of His cross.

Relational (Galatians 6:1-2; 1 Thessalonians 5:11)
As a spiritual kuya, I will be accountable to the wholistic growth of the people
God entrusts me. I will teach, train, correct and rebuke with love by God’s grace.

Faithful
(1 Corinthians 9:26-27; Hebrews 12:1)
As Christ’s servant, I will labor to make myself available in as many
ministry opportunities as possible without expecting anything in return.

Missional (Matthew 27:18-20)
I will embrace the work of an evangelist, clearly proclaiming the Good News of Jesus in words, deeds and the whole of life, and journeying with people until they submit to Jesus’ Lordship and Salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone.
